Now for the industrial side of sewing...

Like most tradesman I have a lot of tools and this seems to be the same for sewing, having started off with my vintage brother machine I just happened to stumble accross a couple more, you know how it goes then all of a sudden, low and behold I Just happen to find a Brother DB2 b755 Industrial sewing machine.
A big solid metalic gold coloured straight stitch machine obviously its built into a table and operated by means of a 400w clutch Motor or it did... But not any more...
The way I and most tradesmen think industrial tools are always better, I plan to be taking on some heavy canvas projects for my Bulgarian small holding.
Over there its 40° in the summer and Possibly - 30° in the winter. So I need to knock out some pretty substantial awnings and covers etc... I digress...
Getting back to the clutch Motor it was Just too fast for me so I googled and Ipondered and then  swapped it out for a servo motor, now its a totally different machine with much more control
Since getting my first Brother I've done quite a bit of research digging into the ins and outs of industrial machines and how they work etc.
Anyway now my brother has its very own brother yes I've got twins...
They also have two cousins a straight stitch Janome J700 and a wilcox & Gibbs 3 thread overlocker.
They where virtually been given away so I bought them, now I'm running out of room and constantly tinkering with parts soaked in machine oil, works wonders for your metal health
On the down side, Unless I can sell them I I may have to open a factory...
This was when I only had two industrial machines now there is four, a proper growing family....
picked up this Janome DB J701, could this be made by brother back in the 80's
Stripped out its old heavy clutch Motor and Replaced it with a jack servo motor 🙂

I must say it stitched nice and the oil window filled almost straight away so thats a good sign.
