1960's machine from Australia, I believe this was originally made by Toyota in Japan, then shipped and assembled in Elizabeth, Australia. After it's assembly it was popped back on a boat and then shipped to London for UK distribution.
It would have cost quite a bit of money at the time and was probably purchased on some kind of payment scheme..
Its a funny sort of green bold, bright and dark at the same time, Shes heavy but very capable, I fell in love with her front end and the styling which makes me think of the airstream caravan and the big old american trains. I don't know why...
She's a straight stitch machine with reverse capability house in a tidy dark wood cabinet.
If it was a Woman I think she'd be a spinster in a heavy skirt, that you wouldn't want to mess with.
She's robust and functional and easy to fall in love with.
More information later but for now some pictures..
